The hunter is responsible
Hunting laws and conditions can change without notice. Before every hunt, each hunter is solely responsible for confirming current seasons, legal species, licenses, permits, stamps, quotas, bag and possession limits, shooting hours, lawful methods of take, weapon and ammunition restrictions, transportation rules and reporting requirements directly with the wildlife agency having jurisdiction.
Land access and boundaries
References to public lands, access programs or general hunting areas do not guarantee that a specific parcel is open, legally accessible or suitable for hunting. Hunters must verify ownership, boundaries, closures, road restrictions and access requirements. Always obtain permission before entering private property.
Species identification
Photographs and identification notes are educational aids only. Hunters must positively identify the species, sex and any other legally relevant characteristics before taking a shot. If identification is uncertain, do not shoot.
Safety and conditions
Hunting and remote travel involve inherent risks, including weather, terrain, wildlife, firearms, vehicles and limited emergency access. Hunters are responsible for their own preparation, decisions, equipment, physical condition and safe practices.

Grouse Quest eligibility
Meeting legal hunting requirements does not automatically guarantee recognition under The Grouse Quest. Submissions remain subject to the program rules and review procedures in effect when submitted.
